December Tag 2015
Still crazy for Bird Crazy as you can see. This fat cheeky little fellow being my favourite!
The background of this tag is Tim Holtz's self adhesive burlap, edged with distress ink in ground expresso. After stamping and die cutting my bird and hat, I used my distress markers (cracked pistachio, tea dye, carved pumpkin, ground expresso, black soot and the newest colour candied apple) to watercolour my little friend.
Recycled plastic packaging was used to cut the Snow Flurries die. Dabbed on some distress paint (picket fence) and smudged with my finger to get this frosted effect.
The snow dimension on his hat and on the thinlits tree die was achieved using a snow marker.
Here's a close up of the snowflake which is part of Tim Holtz's snowflake stencil. I then used Ranger texture paste. Once dry I added distress stain in weathered wood and salty ocean. After drying with my heat gun, I used crystal stickles and a misc. pearl to finish it off.
Tim's new snowflake charm was attached to ribbon using a loop pin.
